Beefs 2011: Liam Gallagher Hates On Julian Casablancas

Following the release of their recent Angles album, New York rockers the Strokes have kept no secrets about the strife within their band. Most recently, frontman Julian Casablancas told Spin, "almost everything I've ever done with the Strokes feels so negative and I just don't know why."

Well, that negative attitude towards his band doesn't sit well with Liam Gallagher. Never one to shy away from controversy, the former Oasis member and current Beady Eye head had some strong words for the detached Strokes frontman in the print version of the current NME, saying, "That singer just seems like he doesn't want to be in a band with them. It's like fucking go; bog off. It seems like it's a chore for him, you know what I mean?"

His annoyance by Casablancas quickly turned to confusion over how the Strokes can even have fans, as Gallagher added, "How can kids be into a band like that? How can they not get that vibe, man? It's like, fuck, come over to the Beady Eye side!"

Perhaps the hate will shake some excitement into Casablancas's stage presence when the Strokes play Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight (March 30).
