At a festival gig in Sao Paulo, Brazil last night (November 13), alt-rock diva Courtney Love had a mini-meltdown, which found her raging at a fan holding up a picture of Kurt Cobain and sounding off on the Foo Fighters before temporarily leaving the stage.
As you can see in the clip below, the Hole frontwoman freaked out at a fan for holding up an image of her deceased husband, calling the concertgoer out for their rudeness. While it's arguable whether or not the picture was held up out of malice, Love was livid over the incident nonetheless.
"I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, asshole, and I'm going to have you fucking removed if you keep holding that up," she vocalized in the tirade during Hole's set. "I'm not Kurt, I have to live with his shit and his ghost and his kid every day, and throwing that up is stupid and rude and I'm going to beat the fuck out of you if you do it again."
Despite the crowd's cheers, Love continued the rant -- "Go see the fucking Foo Fighters and do that shit," she seethed -- threw up a middle finger and stormed off the stage. Oddly, she was only coaxed back onstage after a roadie got the crowd to chant "the Foo Fighters are gay."
Love then cracked another insult, likely towards lead Foo Dave Grohl, saying "I don't care what you listen to at home, but if a guy takes off money off my kid's table, fuck him."
Oh, and sometime during the show, Love performed topless. Just sayin'.
Considering a release date has yet been set for her memoirs, maybe this could be a late entry into that undoubtedly wild read.
