Beck recently told Rolling Stone that his album Morning Phase will include a song called "Wave," and a live version of that tune has now emerged.
Beck played the song over the weekend during a Song Reader performance featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the city's Walt Disney Concert Hall. Fan-shot footage of the tune shows the singer crooning mournfully with orchestral backing. Beck has said that Morning Phase harkens back to his 2002 album Sea Change, and this song definitely recalls the ornate despondency of that LP.
