Fans of Vancouver folk/nu-grass group the Be Good Tanyas who are getting antsy for some new material have reason to rejoice: Frazey Ford, the Tanya's lead vocalist, has a release date set for her debut solo disc, and we've got a song for you to check out right here right now on Exclaim.ca.
Ford's Obadiah will be released on July 20 through Nettwerk. A press release says the album combines her familiar vocals with a growing love of classical soul music, "adding a rich fullness and bottom end to the 13 tracks the comprise the debut. "
She'll be out there supporting the album on the road, with some Lilith Fair dates kicking off the tour. Full dates are to be announced soon; for now, info on the Lilith gigs is below.
