BC's LIVE at Squamish Announces 2012 Lineup with the Tragically Hip, City and Colour, Kathleen Edwards

LIVE in Squamish is now entering its third year, and once again, the music festival will be returning to British Columbia this summer. The lineup for the 2012 instalment of the Squamish, BC event has now been announced, and as expected, it features some big names.

Taking place from August 24 to August 26, the festival will be heavy on Canadian acts, with performers including the Tragically Hip, City and Colour, Kathleen Edwards, Wintersleep, Plants and Animals, the Sheepdogs, the Pack A.D., Lights, Chromeo, Mother Mother, Rich Hope, Humans, Rococode, Maurice and the Matinee, among others. There will also be a handful of U.S. artists including the Airborne Toxic Event, Beats Antique and Charles Bradley.

Virgin Mobile will sponsor the event, meaning that Virgin Mobile members now have access to a pre-sale with a 10 percent discount. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 13.

Some of the festival's attractions include include a "silent disco," a scenic soundstage, an artisan village, food vendors and, perhaps best of all, direct coach transportation from downtown Vancouver to the festival.
