BC's ArtsWells Festival Announces 2018 Lineup

British Columbia's ArtsWells Festival is set to return to the mountain hamlet of Wells and Barkerville for its 15th annual event this year, and organizers have just released the musical lineup for the 2018 fest.

Inviting artists from around the world and some festival favourites from years past, the 2018 lineup features (in alphabetical order) Adham Shaikh, Dream Tree, Al Simmons, Brasstronaut, the Carnival Band, Celeigh Cardinal, Compassion Gorilla, Corwin Fox, David Francey, Dennis Elssworth, Faith Maxwell, Fortune Killers, Genevieve Charbonneau and the Wild Sundays, Geoff Berner, High Society, the Imprints, Jasper Sloan Yip, Jenny Lester, Jenny Whiteley, Kimmortal, Kym Gouchie & Northern Sky, Lady Mystics, Leela Gilday, Madeline Tasquin Trio, Marcel Gagnon, Mob Bounce, Old.Soul.Rebel, Parlour Panther, Psycho & Plastic, Pugs & Crows with Marin Patenaude, Red Haven, Ronnie Dean Harris/Ostweive, Saltwater Hank, Sam Tudor Band, Sarah Wheeler, Shirley Gnome, Speaker Face, Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, This Way North, Twin Peaks, Uschi Tala, Vic Horvath, Wallgrin, Wax Mannequin and Wooden Horsemen.

An additional lineup announce to follow in June will feature the fest's theatrical, musical, children's and visual arts programming.

The 15th edition of ArtsWells will take place from August 3 to 6 across 12 venues between the two towns, promising "artistic experiences abound on every street corner with visual art installations, roving performers, parades, local galleries, artisans, workshops" and the crop of musicians above.

Remaining general weekend passes begin at $180, while children aged 12 years and under are free. Further festival and ticketing information can be found through ArtsWells' official website.
