Bart are at last following up their 2016 debut album Holomew. The record is titled Today, Tomorrow, & The Next Day, and it arrives May 10 via Idée Fixe Records.

Today, Tomorrow, & the Next Day is described as "a musically rich tribute to creation, collaboration and constant and inevitable change." For a taste of that, Bart have shared the track "Don't Push."

In a statement, Bart's Chris Shannon said, "'Don't Push' came from feeling as though I had lost something that I never really had. Although lyrically it seems to allude to a romantic relationship, while writing it I was thinking of love, opportunity, money, normality and comfort. A lament on not taking what life gives you, whatever it is, for whatever reason."

Listen to "Don't Push" for yourself below.

For their sophomore effort, Bart features the lineup of Chris Shannon, Nathan Vanderwielen, Lane Halley and Jacob Morgan. There's also drumming via Jason Bhattacharya, sax work courtesy of Destroyer member Joseph Shabason, and strings provided by Michael Peter Olsen and Sara Froese. It was all captured at collaborator Jeff McMurrich's Sonology studio.

Bart will be playing Toronto's Monarch Tavern on April 7. You can get more details here.
