As previously reported, prolific Vancouver indie label Kingfisher Bluez is gearing up for its eighth annual Christmas party on December 18. As has become the tradition, the show's $10 entry fee includes a free 7-inch single, and now we've got a stream of the full thing.
The single is a rerelease of "Merry Christmas to the Drunks, Merry Christmas to the Lovers," a 2013 tune from Edinburgh indie pop mainstays Ballboy. The song's a warm, cozy little indie tune built on acoustic guitars, sparse percussion and frontman Gordon McIntyre's wonderful Scottish brogue.
