Exclaim.ca is currently streaming Bahamas Is Afie, but if that's not enough to tide you over until the official August 19 release date for the latest Bahamas album, you have a chance to purchase a vinyl copy ahead of time thanks to an intriguing Craigslist ad.
The ad appears to have been posted by singer-guitarist Afie Jurvanen himself. It promises "professional style record" on yellowish wax with a "funny orange/gold colour." According to the hilariously deadpan post, this "factory sealed" LP is "perfect for the avid collector." Note that it's "$20 firm," so don't go trying to haggle him.
Even though the pictures indicate that Jurvanen is most likely in on the stunt, we can't guarantee that the man himself will be handing over the record personally. Check out the listing here.
In any case, if you're looking for a chance to interact with your favourite Toronto artist via a Craigslist post, this is certainly a lot more affordable than deadmau5's Purrari.
Check out Exclaim!'s recent interview with Bahamas over here and see his upcoming tour dates here. Of course, you can also stream the album in full here.
UPDATE: Well, it looks as if Bahamas did deliver the record in person. Facebook user Katie Fotheringham writes, " I tried to be cool but failed miserably. I love this guy, and this new album. Kinda can't believe this just happened...Best. Craigslist. Experience. Ever." She also shared the image below. The ad has since been taken down.
