As Bahamas gears up for the August arrival of Bahamas Is Afie through Brushfire/Universal, the guitar-slinging songwriter known as Afie Jurvanen has announced a North American tour and unveiled a new song.
Following a couple dates next month, the tour begins in earnest in September. Over the course of two months, Jurvanen will tour extensively in the U.S. and Canada, eventually wrapping up in November.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday (June 27); for Bahamas fan club members and email subscribers, they go on sale on Wednesday (June 25). See the schedule below.
Scroll past that to hear a newly premiered cut from Bahamas Is Afie called "Stronger Than That." In a statement, Jurvanen said of the tune, "The album was more or less finished when we decided to go back in and cut this track. It's a song about believing in someone, someone who doesn't really believe in themselves. It's about encouragement, which is something I think we could often use more of. Plus, listen to that Stratocaster! I had a lot of fun making this one."
