Babymetal, the world's heaviest J-pop/heavy metal hybrid, are set to keep bangin' all throughout 2016. It's been revealed that Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal have a new record on the horizon, and that they'll be touring the world around the release.

Details behind the follow-up to the group's self-titled 2014 debut have yet to be revealed in full, but an official trailer confirms that the record will be released worldwide on April 1, just in time for what they're calling "Fox Day." It's further explained that they'll play London's Wembley Arena on April 2 and will undertake a tour that will conclude at the Tokyo Dome on a currently undisclosed date. The finale is being labelled "Doomsday."

UPDATE (01/15, 1:45 p.m.): The band have confirmed that the album is called Metal Resistance and will arrive on April 1 via earMUSIC.

"I will be putting my everything into the production of our upcoming album because I believe that many of you are waiting for it," the band's Su-metal said in a statement. "We are looking forward to meeting our fans abroad again next year at Wembley Arena right after the release of our second album, so you can expect to hear our new songs for the very first time live there."

Moametal added that the record "will betray your expectations — in a good way, of course."

Blabbermouth points out that Babymetal premiered two new songs at the Yokohama Arena over the weekend. Though the quality is questionable, you'll find one of the horns-raising, distorted but melodious stomps via a fan recording down below. You'll note that the trailer, also below, seems to feature an elaborate, orchestral version of the same song.
