Musical acts of all sizes have paid tribute to late alt-rock icon Chris Cornell since his suicide earlier this month. The list now includes his former bandmates in Audioslave, who ran through one of the band's songs in tribute.

Guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk, who now play with Prophets of Rage, played Audioslave's "Like a Stone" during a rehearsal last week. The song comes from the band's self-titled debut LP, released in 2002.

The instrumental run-through was captured by Prophets of Rage's DJ Lord, who uploaded a video to Facebook with the message "R.I.P. #ChrisCornell."

Audioslave reunited earlier this year to perform at an anti-inaugural ball in protest of United States President Donald Trump. Watch the performance in the player below.
