Attention Aspiring Cat DJs: Get Scratching with Your Very Own Decks

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 30, 2011

Between Jingle Cats, Best Coast videos and some reworked album artwork, it's clear that kittens the world over want in on the music biz. Chances are, however, that cats are going to have a hard time handling a six string or rocking a mic; their furry little legs just don't bend that way. If you're looking for a Christmas gift to bump up your little buddy's music skills, why not appeal to their natural scratching instincts and pick up a pet-conducive turntable? Check out the image of the plaything above and imagine your own feline firing up some sweet remixes.

Considering the felt slip pad and cardboard base, your pet won't exactly be rockin' wheels of steel, but just think of how cool your kitten will feel pretending to spin cuts from Felix Da Housecat, or pulling a transformer scratch on some Cat Stevens.

Weighing the alternative (i.e., having a tattered and torn-up sofa), it's almost in your best interest to hop your guy up on a dose of catnip and just let him go buckwild. No Deadmau5, though. Dude just doesn't deliver for the Friskies set.
