Atari Teenage Riot Reveal North American Reunion Shows, Promise Canadian Fall Dates

Published Jun 11, 2010

As pioneers of the digital hardcore genre, German electro anarchists Atari Teenage Riot made more than a little noise in their eight-year existence. In 2000, they threw in the towel, but earlier this year, they announced that they would be returning to the stage with a newly invigorated line-up. At first, Atari Teenage Riot had only announced European tour dates, but we've now learned that Alec Empire and co. will be bringing their noise to select clubs in North America this fall.

Following a European tour that runs through the summer and portions of September, the band will play New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. There are many days off in between, so we can infer that a tour is currently being booked.

Before you get too disappointed, Canadian fans, take note: while there are no listings at the moment, Empire insists that the band will return to our home and native land this fall. On the same Soundcloud page where a new ATR song, "Activate!," is hosted, a fan asked if the band had plans to return to Canada anytime soon. "Yes, we do... in October 2010!" Empire replied.

In addition to the new "Activate!" MP3, ATR keep hinting at a video collaboration with Zan Lyons called Activate Live. It looks like it will be some sort of live performance, but the video's premiere has been postponed. For now, a teaser trailer is viewable below.
