At the Drive-In may have cancelled a good portion of their reunion tour dates earlier this year, but they're making good on their promise of new music with the arrival of new track "Governed by Contagions."

The song was shared alongside an animated lyric video directed by Damon Locks and Rob Shaw, with the band having updated their social media pages with screenshots from the clip. The song itself bears the recognizable urgency of their past work, led by Cedric Bixler-Zavala's vocals and walls of Omar Rodríguez-López's recognizable axework.

In the video's description, a short note from the band reveals that "Governed by Contagions" "is from the forthcoming full length album produced by ORL and Rich Costey." The video is also hosted through Rise Records' YouTube account, which could indicate the new record will arrive through the label.

The video for "Governed by Contagions" can be watched in the player below, while the song itself is available as a free download on the band's website over here.

At the Drive-In initially announced a full reunion at the start of this year, following a handful of live dates in 2012. Before the reunion tour started, the band announced that guitarist Jim Ward would not be a part of the band's future plans.

The group cancelled their remaining reunion tour dates in June over concerns surrounding Bixler-Zavala's ailing vocal chords, a decision that was met with support, disappointment and hostility.
