Just over a month away from Parliament Hill's annual Canada Day celebrations, organizers have lifted the curtain on the musical lineup that will play this year's birthday bash.

Artists set to perform in the nation's capital on July 1 include Arkells, Lights, Ruth B, Rose Cousins, Iskwé, Brigitte Boisjoli, DJ Shub Jean-Marc Couture, the Dead South, Klô Pelgag, Martina Ortiz Luis, and duo Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine.

The event will feature the acts listed above performing at two different shows on Parliament Hill on July 1. One show will take place at noon, while the second will bring the artists back to the stage for an 8 p.m. start ahead of fireworks demonstrations.

Last year's celebrations saw Alessia Cara, Gordon Lightfoot, Serena Ryder, Dean Brody and Walk Off the Earth take the stage in celebration of Canada's 150th birthday.
