Arkells Crashed a Toronto Karaoke Bar Last Night

Arkells fans were treated to the ultimate sing-along surprise at a Toronto karaoke bar last night (September 26).

After the Hamilton band teased their appearance at Bar+ Karaoke on Twitter yesterday, a hoard of fans descended upon the Yonge St. establishment later in the evening.

The band hopped between the private karaoke rooms, joining fans for sing-alongs — including new tracks of their own like "Relentless" and the debut of "Only for a Moment" from their upcoming album Rally Cry.

The pop-up performance was apparently inspired by the band's recent trip to South Korea, where stumbling into group karaoke sessions became a nightly habit.

"We wanted to replicate and share that energy and fun with Arkellians at home," frontman Max Kerman said. "Felt like the perfect fit to debut the latest cut from Rally Cry."

Check out some fan (and band member) accounts of the impromptu karaoke party below.

Rally Cry is due out October 19 via Universal Music Canada.
