Arise

Not exactly offering much in the way of innovation, Sweden's Arise nonetheless impress on The Godly Work Of Art. One thinks of Carcass's legendary Heartwork opus when hearing this, although without as much brilliance involved; fast, crunchy, melodic thrash metal by the buckets here, with catchy song structures and higher-pitched vocals thrashing your eardrums throughout this enjoyable modern metal experience. The great packaging, art and production only helps as well, all adding up to something the listener may have heard before, but hasn't heard done this well in a while.
