Filmmaker Kahlil Joseph has previously made a short film for Flying Lotus, and more recently directed a featurette inspired by Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city. Now, he's adding another music star to his resume: Arcade Fire.
While the details of the project are unclear, Arcade Fire Tube reports that Joseph told students at the California Institute of the Arts that he's working on a film for Arcade Fire. He apparently previewed a rough cut of the flick, adding that even Arcade Fire hadn't seen the footage yet, so this is still a work in progress.
Furthermore, Arcade Fire Tube points out that director of photography Lol Crawley's filmography mentions a Joseph-directed documentary called Arcade Fire: Reflektor Tapes. While we can't be sure this is the final title, it seems that this will be a documentary about the 2013 album Reflektor and/or the subsequent tour. The band apparently filmed lots of the shows on the tour.
Filmmaker Kahlil Joseph reportedly told CalArts students he's working on a film for Arcade Fire. He even previewed an unfinished version.

Joseph said Arcade Fire themselves hadn't even seen the footage or his edit yet. The project very much a work in progress. Exciting.

You'll be unsurprised to know that this won't be a regular 'live in Mehtown" tour dvd/bluray.

Additionally, Pitchfork notes that a very nicely shot live video of "Afterlife," credited to Joseph, is streaming here.
