After a year and a half of nothing but buzz surrounding The Suburbs, Montreal's Arcade Fire took home the 2011 Polaris Music Prize (and $30,000) last night (September 19). If you're curious about the band's reaction the the win, Fucked Up frontman, previous Polaris winner, host of MuchMusic's The Wedge and co-host for last night's awards gala, Damian Abraham was on hand to interview AF's Win Butler, Richard Reed Perry and Jeremy Gara after they accepted their award.

Courtesy of MuchMusic, you cab watch the interview clip below to see Butler announce their win to his wife and bandmate Régine Chassagne over the phone, and to check out how Fucked Up's 2008 novelty cheque compares to last night's.

Also, if you'd like to watch the entire Polaris gala, you can do so here. The gala will be broadcasted on MuchMusic this Saturday (September 24) at 10 p.m. EST.
