The Appleseed Cast to Play Classic Low Level Owl Albums in Their Entirety on North American Tour

The Appleseed Cast to Play Classic Low Level Owl Albums in Their Entirety on North American Tour
Long-running experimental emo/indie band the Appleseed Cast have made an announcement that's guaranteed to make more than a few hairs stand on end. On the band's upcoming North American tour, they will be playing their classic set of albums, Low Level Owl, Vol. 1 and Low Level Owl, Vol. 2, in their entirety.

This popular idea of playing classic albums live (everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Piebald are doing it) is sure to help bring a few more folks out to some gigs during these wallet-watching times. And while there is only one Canadian date (Vancouver on March 9), there is a long string south of the border, including stops in such cities as Austin, San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle.

Considering that the albums (which we quite liked when they were initially release in 2001) clock in at around two hours total, it's safe to say the band won't be playing much else on these shows, even material from heir last release, 2009's Sagarmatha. But as Appleseed fans know, Low Level Owl is easily the band's crowning achievement, and in fact sounds pretty sweet to this very day, meaning there will be few, if any, complaints.
