Animal Collective Announce Remix EP, Reschedule Tour Dates

BY Josiah HughesPublished Apr 23, 2013

Earlier this year, experimental pop freaks Animal Collective were forced to cancel their tour due to illness. Now, they've rescheduled the trek. Better yet, they'll have a new release at the merch table.

As you can see below, AnCo's Canadian dates remain unscathed, with stops still firmly in place for Toronto and Ottawa. Most of the American dates that were affected by Avey Tare's strep throat have been tagged on to the end of the trek.

In addition, the band will release a new remix EP called Monkey Been to Burn Town on May 28 via Domino. The release features new takes on Centipede Hz track "Monkey Riches" from Gang Gang Dance's Brian DeGraw, Teengirl Fantasy and Traxman. There's also a new version of "New Town Burnout" from Shabazz Palaces.

Check out the EP's artwork above and DeGraw's remix of "Monkey Riches" below.
