Angel Olsen has shared another song from her upcoming album All Mirrors.
"Lark" follows up the album's title track, and Olsen explained the origins of the song in a statement. It reads:
"Lark" is a song that took many years to finish. The disjointed feelings and verses of this song began to make sense as a way for me to exercise a kind of journey through grieving, a kind of personal struggle. The message of the song developed at first from an argument I once had with someone about trust and support. Later, I pulled from recurring themes in my life as a musician and as a human that dreams for a living. It's easy to promise the world to those we love, but what about when our dreams change and values split?
Listen to "Lark" below.
As previously reported, All Mirrors is due out October 4 via Jagjaguwar. The new LP will mark the follow-up to 2016's My Woman. She's since also released a rarity collection called Phases and guested on Mark Ronson's Late Night Feelings.
As previously reported, Oslen will be heading on a North American tour this fall. It includes several Canadian dates, and you can see the complete schedule here.
