Andrew Bird, Hayden, Keaton Henson and More Team Up for Charitable Covers Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 24, 2014

Montreal-based organization Yellow Bird Project works with independent musicians to raise money for various charities. Previously, it has done so by collaborating on exclusive T-shirts, but it has just announced plans to get in on the music itself with a new compilation.

Called Good People Rock, the compilation sees indie artists covering other indie artists. Tracks include Andrew Bird taking on the New Pornographers, Hayden offering his own version of a TV on the Radio song, and Elvis Perkins and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's Alec Ounsworth covering each other's material.

The compilation is being crowdsourced via a Pledge Music campaign. Depending on how much you donate, prizes include T-shirts, vinyl, CDs and a poetry zine.

Check out the tracklisting for Good People Rock below, along with Andrew Bird's take on the New Pornographers' "Fake Headlines."
