Saskatoon-born, Montreal-based ambient music maker Alexander Stooshinoff is set to release his sophomore EP Patient Hands next week, but before it arrives, Exclaim! is giving you the chance to stream it in its entirety.

The new offering follows up Stooshinoff's 2014 debut EP Stasis, which compiled six ambient suites written between the ages of 17 and 19, then recorded over nine-month period. Taking a different approach, Patient Hands features ambient compositions against a backdrop of field recordings from Camino de Santiago in Spain. After his Spanish excursion, Stooshinoff set about writing the new record at his parents' place.

It marks a departure from the "ambient tinged singer-songwriter elements" of the musician's debut and instead embraces "soundscapes dominated by the textural and spatial information of the field recordings."

Patient Hands arrives on November 3, but you can join Stooshinoff on his sonic journey by giving the new EP a listen right now in the player below.
