Alesana Announce 'A Place Where the Sun Is Silent'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Aug 25, 2011

Now that you've had a while to digest Fucked Up's David Comes to Life, here's another ultra-heavy concept album for your to sink your teeth into: on October 18, North Carolina six-piece Alesana will release A Place Where the Sun Is Silent through Epitaph.

A press release promises that the two-act collection will offer more of the band's "unforgettable choruses, virtuosic guitar driven rock and thunderous breakdowns in support of their captivating lyrical narrative detailing love, loss and undying perseverance." It's apparently an "undeniably ambitious and powerful album."

The disc was produced by Kris Crummett, who also helmed last year's The Emptiness. Stream the single "A Gilded Masquerade" over at Alternative Press and pre-order the album from the Epitaph store.

The band will be supporting the disc with a lengthy world tour, but currently have no plans to perform in Canada. See the dates over at MySpace.
