Alanis Morissette's massive touring plans got derailed last year thanks to the pandemic, and today, she's looking back fondly on her time on the road with a new song titled "I Miss the Band."
Arriving with its own set of visuals by Victor Indrizzo, the video compiles behind-the-scenes footage of Morissette's previous tours with her stage band.
"Ahhhhh I miss my bandmates and touring and travelling and seeing everyone and this planet so much," Morissette said of the track. "I might turn into a puddle when we all reconvene..."
She added: "Deeply yearning to play live music again. The sweat, the rapture, the movement, the love...I miss seeing your faces & being with my bandmates. Soon...we'll be back together."
Morissette's rescheduled North American tour with Liz Phair and Garbage is currently slated to take place this summer, beginning with a performance at Toronto's Budweiser Stage on July 10. However, it remains unclear if Ontario's COVID-19 restrictions will allow for large-scale public events any time soon.
