AJJ Put a Cute Face to Climate Collapse on New Song "The Baby Panda"

It's the band's first release via Hopeless Records

After wishing us Good Luck Everybody before 2020 really went off the rails, AJJ have returned with both a new single and news of a new label home.

"The Baby Panda," which you can hear via a lyric video below, plainly lays out just how much cuteness this world will lose should we continue to treat climate change and subsequent collapse as an afterthought. Spoiler alert: "It's not coming back."

It isn't all doom and gloom, though, as you'll surely find with the upbeat instrumental accompaniment and lines like, "You made shit stupider than it's ever been in the past." The new arrival marks AJJ's first release for Hopeless Records.

"What do we hope our listeners take away from this song? The song itself. We're looking for a good home for it," AJJ share in a statement. "We want this song to live in the ears and hearts and memories of our beloved listeners for years to come. This song was born in our old practice space when [Ben Gallaty] pulled it out of the trash and spanked a mean ass guitar solo into it. Then we sped it up and asked our pal (Laura) Steve(nson) to make the vocal hooks pop. The lyrics in the second verse were taken from some classic Croatian curses."
