Adele Wants to Get a Degree in English Literature After Her Vegas Residency

Rumour has it Adele is something of a bibliophile! Looking beyond her rescheduled Las Vegas residency (set to finally begin next month) and imminent plans to drink wine, the pop star aspires to study English literature in the future.

A Q&A session with fans in Los Angeles on Monday (October 24) saw the acclaimed singer-songwriter reveal what's next for her after the run of shows at Caesars Palace — and it's an ever-increasing to-be-read pile.

"After Vegas I want to get a degree in English literature," Adele said [via BBC], adding: "If I hadn't made it singing, I think I would be an English lit teacher." During her ITV special An Audience with Adele last year, the artist had a very wholesome reunion with her former English teacher Ms. McDonald, who she said changed her life by getting her really into literature.

She continued, "I definitely think I use my passion for English lit in what I do. I wish I'd gone to university and had that experience, but I will do it online with a tutor. That's my plan for 2025, just to get the qualification."

Perhaps she can go international and get her degree from Kingston, ON's Queen's University and ace the course on Taylor Swift's literary legacy?

In 2021, Adele released the undoubtedly poetic 30, which she referred to as her "divorce album."
