A substitute teacher in Austin, TX, was asked to leave his assigned classroom last week after bringing his own karaoke machine (which is rad) and loudly singing Britney Spears' "Toxic" (which is also rad?) for the entire class.
In a video obtained by the New York Post, you can see the man sitting behind a computer monitor and performing for what must've been an incredibly confused group of students.
He's actually doing a pretty great job, and it looks like he also set up his own strobe light to accompany the performance, which again, is genuinely sick.
"I've heard worse Britney Spears covers, but the lights are a bit much," a spokesperson for Austin's Independent School District said. One could argue that in the wake of Britney's newfound freedom the lights are appropriately celebratory, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
The substitute was subsequently asked to leave the classroom, as he "wasn't following [the district's] best practices." Apparently, he nabbed another job at a different school, where he hopefully chose a slightly more classroom-appropriate Britney cover, maybe "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman."
