A$AP Rocky's ongoing saga with Swedish police continues. After being detained for weeks following a brawl in Stockholm, the rapper has officially been charged with assault. While it's undoubtedly a stressful time for the artist, one amusing detail has emerged via the appearance of his nickname in court documents.
While being interviewed by the police, Rocky — born Rakim Mayers — was asked if he had any other nicknames. "Yes. Rocky, A$AP Rocky, pretty mother fucker, I can't think of any more," he said.
Of course, the nickname rose to prominence in Rocky's breakthrough hit "Wassup," where he rapped, "I be that pretty mother fucker / Harlem's where I'm reppin'."

The likes of Kanye West, Justin Bieber and even Donald Trump have pleaded with Swedish prosecutors to free Rocky, who has been in custody since July 3. In the lead-up to the trial, A$AP will continue to be held in a Swedish jail. However, a trial date has not yet been set. It's expected to be held within the next two weeks, and the trial will last three days.
"We think it was self-defence, but the prosecutor has chosen to go with the injured party's version," the rapper's lawyer Slobodan Jovicic told CNN, adding his client is "very disappointed" the prosecutor has "chosen to go with the other party's version" of events.
While Trump has offered to personally vouch for the rapper's bail, the bail system does not exist in Sweden.
