While BC-bred metal lovers 3 Inches of Blood unleashed the two-song Anthems for the Victorious seven-inch back in the summer, it's been over two years since the NWOBHM-inspired troupe trotted out a full album's worth of material. Things are soon to change, though, as the band announced they're hitting the studio early next year to record album No. 5.
A press release explains that the band will be entering both Profile Studios in Vancouver and Vogville Studios in Port Coquitlam with engineer/producer Terry Sho Murray this January. Murray previously worked with the group on Anthems for the Victorious.
While the album is too far off to have earned a title or official street date just yet, guitarist Shane Clark assured fans that the group's traditional metal roots are still intact.
"We're in pre-production mode here in East Can and we're writing our next blood-soaked metal masterpiece!!" he explained. "We are keeping true metal alive, so fuck trends brothers and sisters!! Stay metal!!! You will hear from us very soon!!"
3 Inches of Blood's last full-length record was 2009's Here Waits Thy Doom.
