2 Chainz Plotting New Album and 'Tru Jack City' Mixtape

After poppin' a "Xanny" and showing off his FreeBase skills in 2014, 2 Chainz has revealed plans to put out a new LP and another mixtape in 2015.

Speaking with Revolt, 2 Chainz confirmed that he's about to "roll out the whole campaign" for his next full-length effort at the "top of the year," but few details were given beyond that. His last studio release was 2013's B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time.

Beyond the album plans, the rapper noted he also has a mixtape called Tru Jack City on the way that will find him surrounded by a number of Atlanta-area MCs. Though he'll take top billing, 2 Chainz noted, "It's my mixtape, but it's for up-and-coming artists in Atlanta."

While a due date wasn't coughed up, the TRU rapper confirmed that the release will feature appearances from Peewee Longway, Cap 1, Skooly, Short Dawg, Bankroll Fresh, Travis Porter, Lil JuJu and more.

"It's really ratchet; it's real street," 2 Chainz said of the collaborative release. "It's catered for the core."

2 Chainz also revealed that he'll be heading out on a tour with Drake sometime next year, but specifics on dates and venues have yet to be confirmed.
