English pop star Ellie Goulding has announced a new album. Higher Than Heaven is out February 23, 2023.

Goulding has shared a video for the thumping, clubby single "Let It Die." Recent singles "Easy Lover" (featuring Big Sean) and "All by Myself" (with Alok and Sigala) are also included on the album. The rest of the 16-song tracklist hasn't been revealed yet.

In addition to the music video, Goulding has revealed a minute-long trailer for Higher Than Heaven. Watch both clips down below.

Goulding told Zane Lowe on his Apple Music 1 show:

I wrote most of this album pretty much post-lockdown when I was kind of, like all of us, in this kind of strange haze of the fact that we'd all been forced into this very strange situation. So when I got back in the studio, everyone seemed to be on the same page that they wanted this escape from reality. And not just that ... but I was pregnant and I was ... in denial about being pregnant. Trying to be like "it's nothing" and just hiding it. That was kind of part of my defence mechanism that I just wanted to escape. I just wanted to escape. It's a scary thing, finding out you're having a child. So, actually, that's exactly what this album is. It requires a certain amount of pain to go through to write what I write. This album is ultimate escapism about being completely insanely in love. There's a lot of sexuality in there. It's almost like a psilocybin-induced love.

The album is available to pre-order on CD or vinyl through Universal's online store. This is the follow-up to 2020's Brightest Blue.
