Craving some more Battlestar Galactica? Fortunately, the wildly popular series is reportedly being spun into a movie franchise.

As The Hollywood Reporter explains, the wildly popular television series that ran from 1978 to 1979 and again from 2004 to 2009 will next get a bigscreen adaptation from Universal.

The company has been working toward a movie adaptation since the second Battlestar series wound down in 2009. The film originally had Bryan Singer on board as director, but he's since exited.

We don't know who's at the helm of the next Battlestar, but the first film of the franchise will be prodcuced by Michael De Luca, Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark.
