U2, Niall Horan, Saoirse Ronan Speak Out on Irish Referendum to Repeal Anti-Abortion Laws

Expats from around the world have been returning to their homeland in droves to cast their votes, while anti-abortion Americans have also been travelling to the country to stage protests (despite being pelted with eggs).
If the 8th amendment is repealed, the Irish government will create legislation that allows abortions up to 12 weeks after gestation, or up to 24 weeks if the woman's health is seriously at risk.
Saoirse Ronan, Cillian Murphy, Aisling Bea and others recently appeared in a video backing the repeal of the 8th amendment. Watch the clip below.
See how some of Ireland's other most famous faces are encouraging citizens to vote today.
Cmon Ireland ! This is your day to make another great decision. Please do right by the great women of our nation . 🇮🇪

Sending big love and best wishes to my sisters and brothers in the Republic of Ireland, where I was lucky to live for 5 years. Tomorrow the nation has the chance to really come of age. Time to strike a blow for freedom and good sense. #Repealthe8h

I'm of Irish descent—I'm from a long line of mouthy American Irish Catholics—but if I were Irish-Irish, I would've gone #HomeToVoteYes. Rooting for Irish women & girls today. #repealthe8th
