Tyler, the Creator announced his foray into the world of cartoons with The Jellies back in 2015. Now, the show has been ordered by Cartoon Network's Adult Swim for a run on television this summer.
Having initially been exclusive to the rapper's Golf Media app, The Jellies follows a family of jellyfish and their human son Cornell, who discovers that he was adopted at birth by the family on his 16th birthday
The Jellies was co-written and voiced by Tyler and his Loiter Squad cohort Lionel Boyce. The show will also feature an original score from Tyler himself, as well as voice acting from L-Boy, Blake Anderson, Phil LaMarr, AJ Johnson, Kevin Michael Richardson and more.
The announcement comes on the heels of Tyler getting a new show on VICELAND titled Nuts and Bolts, which reportedly follows the rapper finding out "how things are made."
