Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet played a pivotal role in the team capturing the 2019 NBA championship, and his personal and professional rise will be chronicled in a new documentary.

Par-Lay - The Fred VanVleet Story will premiere on TSN in the fall of 2021, and will "chart VanVleet's rise to prominence as a basketball star, and the unwavering belief in himself as he blazes his own unique path to becoming an NBA champion."

The documentary will chart VanVleet's upbringing in Rockford, IL, his basketball success at Wichita State University, and his path from going undrafted to being featured in the Raptors' starting lineup.

It is also said to boast "never-before-seen footage" of the guard's decision to re-up with the Raptors for four more years this past summer, for which he signed the largest contract ever for an undrafted free agent.

"It's no secret that putting in the time, working on my craft and believing in myself each step of the way has led me to where I am today, but with this film, we want to inspire that same confidence in everyone," said VanVleet in a statement. "No matter where you're coming from, or where you're going, you have a gift. Make it count."

Par-Lay will be produced by LeBron James' Uninterrupted Canada and Par-Lay Content, the former of which is co-owned by Drake.

Last year, it was reported that VanVleet's backcourt partner Kyle Lowry would Hustle with Adam Sandler in a forthcoming feature.
