With the season four premiere of History's Vikings set to air on February 18, Canadian viewers can anticipate a familiar face in a guest starring role later this year.

Taking some time out of his offseason, Toronto Blue Jays third baseman and 2015 American League MVP Josh Donaldson will head to Ireland this week to film an episode of the show in which he will have a speaking role. A press release reveals the two-time All-Star will play the role of Hoskuld, a skilled Viking warrior, in an episode that will air later this year.

A massive fan of the program himself, Donaldson unveiled a new hairstyle late last month resembling that of the show's lead character, Ragnar.

Ahead of the season four premiere, History will air a Vikings season three marathon on February 13. Watch a message from Donaldson expressing his excitement in the player below.
