Timothée Chalamet Wants Frank Ocean to Score a Movie

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 6, 2018

Timothée Chalamet has been stealing hearts and award nominations for his recent performances in films like Call Me By Your Name and Lady Bird, and the 22-year-old actor was recently interviewed by another "it" guy — Frank Ocean.

The musician interviewed the actor for V magazine, each gushing over the other's work and comparing their favourite spots to hang out in New York and L.A.

In addition to their shared love of Joaquin Phoenix, the pair also shared a mutual fondness for the "super good" soundtrack to Call Me By Your Name — spawning Chalamet's genius idea to get Ocean to score an upcoming film.

The musician didn't disregard the prospect, replying, "Yeah, one of these days."

Chalamet also elaborated on his appreciation for the Sufjan Stevens-featuring soundtrack, saying that he and his director (Luca Guadagnino) and co-star (Armie Hammer) listened to Stevens' songs before shooting.

"That was an experience," he said. "To listen to that and, like, hold each other after."

Chalamet also said it was "awesome" to get Ocean's stamp of approval on the film's music.
