This Rotting, Nightmare-Inducing 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Costume Can Be Yours for $20,000

While Jonathan Liebesman's recent CGI-heavy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboots have had us dreaming of the day Hollywood returns to animatronic suits, they should probably make some new ones rather than revisit the ones from the '90s. After all, a movie memorabilia auction house is selling a Leonardo costume from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, and the thing is rotting to pieces.

Admittedly, the suit is still pretty damn cool. It was originally worn by Mark Case in the 1993 film and would undoubtedly make a great conversation started in a rich person's movie room.

That said, the conversations started would likely be ones about mortality and the fact that we will all one day rot away. After all, the piece is a mishmash of crumbling foam and what looks like dying turtle skin, albeit with the uncanny valley stare of Leo's eyes.

Should you choose to buy this terrifying torso, the piece can be yours for somewhere between £10,000 and £15,000 via the Prop Store auction site. That translates to an approximate $16,000 and $24,000 CAD. A lot of money to be reminded that you too will one day return to dust.

Check out some other mortifying images of Leo's corpse below, and thanks to Twitter user Jayme K for the tip.
