If you're in full-on winter hibernation mode, you've probably come close to streaming everything Netflix has to offer in an attempt to ward off the cold weather — but don't worry, the streaming service is here to enable your binge-watching habits with a fresh set of titles that are ready to hit your screen in February.
The entire first season of highly anticipated Netflix original series Santa Clarita Diet is out on February 3, while the Archie comics-inspired Riverdale debuts its first weekly episode on the same day. Other Netflix original TV shows like Ultimate Beastmaster, Shadowhunters: the Mortal Instruments, White Nights and The Sound of Your Heart will also pop up this month.
As for original films, Netflix will release Imperial Dreams on February 3, Ricky Gervais's The Office spinoff David Brent: Life on the Road on February 10, Girlfriend's Day (starring Amber Tamblyn, Natasha Lyonne and Bob Odenkirk) on February 14, and the Melanie Lynskey- and Elijah Wood-starring horror flick I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore on February 24.
There are also plenty of comedy specials arriving in the coming weeks, including shows like Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentine's Day Special (February 7), Trevor Noah: Afraid of the Dark (February 21), Daniel Sosa: Sosafado (February 3), Katherine Ryan: In Trouble (February 14) and Mike Birbiglia: Thank God for Jokes (February 28).
For documentary-loving bingers, the third season of Chef's Table hits Netflix on February 17, while Abstract: the Art of Design will be released on February 10.
Old TV favourites like The 100 (February 2), Scandal (February 3) and Jane the Virgin (February 6) return with new seasons, while newer film fare like Into the Woods (February 8), The BFG (February 16) and Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates (February 25) are also slated to stream this month.
17 Again, 50/50, Mother's Day, Palo Alto, Semi-Pro, The King's Speech and The Lincoln Lawyer are just some of the other titles coming to Netflix as of February 1. A History of ViolenceDriveElla EnchantedGangs of New YorkHe's Just Not that Into You and Just Friends will arrive on February 15.
To make room for the new titles, though, there are a few films leaving the service soon. Kingsman: The Secret Service, Life of Pi and Taken 2 will be taken away February 1, while This Is Where I Leave You leaves you on February 2. A Most Violent Year disappears on February 7, The Good Lie on February 9, Annabelle on February 16, Home on February 25 and Still Alice on February 27.
