Exclaim!'s Best TV Series of 2020 — How To with John Wilson — is due to return for its second season later this month.
Ahead of its November 26 premiere, HBO is giving us a preview with a new trailer filled with more of the New York City-based eccentricities we grew to love in Season 1 — with bonus post-COVID-era street fashion.
"A lot of people thought that we wouldn't be able to make another season of the show, but we did," Wilson says in voice-over. "New York looks more interesting right now than it ever has before. And even though you lost a lot of what you loved, it really made you appreciate what you still have."
The clip is spliced with imagery of animals, subways, local haunts and many, many masked faces — plus a closing shot of Wilson's beloved landlord, Mama.
We still haven't gotten word of any episode titles, but if last year's chapters — including titles like "How to Put Up Scaffolding" and "How to Cover Your Furniture" — are anything to base our assumptions on, the second season is going to be just as wacky, voyeuristic and poignant as the first.
