The National, A$AP Rocky, the Weeknd, Lil Peep Contribute to 'Game of Thrones' Album

'For the Throne' will also feature SZA, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Maren Morris and more

Ahead of Game of Thrones kicking off its final season on HBO this weekend, a companion album of original music inspired by the show has been announced. Titled For the Throne, the collection will arrive through Columbia Records on April 26.

While a tracklist for the effort has yet to be revealed, a teaser trailer points to the involvement of the National, A$AP Rocky, the Weeknd, Lil PeepMaren Morris, Joey Bada$$, Muse's Matthew Bellamy, SZA, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

Of course, HBO released a pair of Catch the Throne mixtapes in 2014 and 2015, respectively. The first volume featured Big Boi, Common, Daddy Yankee and more, while the second volume featured Method Man, Snoop Dogg and more.

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premieres on Sunday (April 14), and you can revisit a trailer here.
