'The Fast and the Furious' Is Becoming a Touring Stage Show

Fast cars, hot bods and tons of explosions have helped make The Fast and the Furious one of the most successful film franchises. The series will soon return with its eighth film, the alliteration-friendly The Fate of the Furious, and now even more plans have been made surrounding the adventures of Dominic Toretto and co.

According to a new press release, the franchise is set to become a travelling stage play. While it's highly unlikely that any of the films' cast members will sign on for the show, the travelling play will feature many set pieces and cars from the movies.

Further, it doesn't sound like this is going to be a stuffy theatre piece. The press release promises some true badassery.

"Audiences will feel the heat from flaming exhausts and marvel at mind-blowing vehicular acrobatics as scene after scene unfolds with the most immersive, entertaining technology imaginable," the write-up says.

The travelling stage show has not revealed its itinerary just yet, but it's expected to kick off early next year.
