Terrence Malick Is Spearheading a New Documentary About Lil Peep
Published Oct 31, 2018Lil Peep's posthumous album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2 was only recently announced, but it appears another new project is incoming about the late rapper — a film helmed by none other than filmmaking legend Terrence Malick.
The reveal was made in a newly published New York Times piece today, explaining that Malick (Badlands, Thin Red Line) would be executive producing the film. Apparently, Malick is a friend of Peep's family, leading the director to help spearhead the as-yet-untitled project.
The Times also explains that the film would likely feature a new soundtrack of Lil Peep material. What's more, there appears to be a lot more posthumous Peep material incoming besides Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2, including Peep's collaborative work with ILOVEMAKONNEN.
As of yet, there are no more details about the Lil Peep documentary, but you can read the entire NYT piece over here.
As previously reported, Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2 will arrive November 9 through Autnmy/Columbia. The album was produced by Smokeasac and George Astasio of IIVI.
Lil Peep passed away last November of a drug overdose. He was 21.
