Sorry, 'Stranger Things' Fans, Barb Is "Fully Dead" and She's Never Coming Back

As the Internet keeps reminding us, Barb is one of the most beloved characters from Netflix hit Stranger Things. Yet while the show has been confirmed for a second season, don't except Barb to ever return, as Stranger Things actor David Harbour has confirmed she is indeed "fully dead."

Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper, made the reveal on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (October 10), telling fans that Barb has — like it or not — died and she will not return to the show no matter how much you whine.

"The Internet rage over Barb, like who knew? [Barb actress] Shannon [Purser] is amazing, but the character's in like two episodes, barely," Harbour said, effectively dissing the legions of Barb devotees. "And the Internet rage at Chief Hopper over not caring about Barb, I'm sorry. I have a little boy I have to safe!"

He added: "I can assure you, if you think Barb is coming back, she's fully dead."

All that being said, Stranger Things co-creator Matt Duffer has indeed promised "justice for Barb."

"We'll make sure there's some justice for Barb," Duffer told IGN. "People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn't seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We're just not spending any screen time on it."

As of yet, a firm premiere date for the second season of Stranger Things has yet to be revealed.
