Following a seriously busy year, Slipknot's Corey Taylor is revealing that he is writing the script for a horror movie, in addition to working on a new book and prepping his first solo album.

"I wrote a script for a horror movie that I'm really stoked about," Taylor told Kerrang! in a new interview. "And I just broke the skin on book five, so I'm working on that, as well. I've got a lot of things going on, but I'm also making sure there's plenty of time for my family, my marriage and home. God knows, you never know how much time you're gonna get there."

While Taylor didn't give many more details about his movie, he did talk about it earlier this year with Rolling Stone, saying: "I'm actually working on a movie right now. I finished a script and I'm aggressively looking for investors and producers. I've got all this stuff that I still want to get out of my system."

As for that debut solo album, Taylor told Kerrang! that it's "the best '90s album ever."

"I'm starting to get material together for a solo album that I'm going to record in 2021," he said. "Some of it is a reflection of being sick and tired of this nutless rock'n'roll I've seen lately that is real soft. I like my rock'n'roll to kick me in the fucking nuts. That's just me though, I'm a fucking dick!"

This year, Slipknot released We Are Not Your Kind, which recently made its way onto Exclaim!'s 10 Best Metal and Hardcore Albums of 2019.
