The creative team behind this year's excellent Shiva Baby are getting back together for a new project. Canadian director Emma Seligman and lead actor Rachel Sennott have announced Bottoms for MGM's Orion Pictures, with Elizabeth Banks serving as one of the producers.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Seligman and Sennott are co-writing the script, which is about two unpopular queer girls who start a fight club to have sex before graduating high school.
As with Shiva Baby, Seligman will direct and Sennott will star in Bottoms. Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small are producing Bottoms for Brownstone Productions.
So far, though, it's unclear when the film could see release.
