Denis Villeneuve is gearing up to direct a Blade Runner sequel, and it's long been rumoured that Ryan Gosling would star. Now, in a new interview, the Gos confirmed that he's signed on for the role.
While promoting his upcoming stock market flick The Big Short, Gosling told Collider that he was going to star in the sequel. He explained that Villeneuve and cinematographer Roger Deakins encouraged him to sign on.
When asked for details on the film's plot, however, he refused to throw reporters a bone. "There's a chip in me and I'll explode if I say anything else," he said.
Either way, the Blade Runner sequel is the next project on Gosling's plate and will start shooting next year.
